Building a Photography Website

Building a website seemed like such an easy thing to do. Put some HTML and some pictures on the web and away we go. Unfortunately, things are never that simple.

My website is now a work in progress.

The initial version is not much more than a business card on the web. One or two select images in each category (Wedding, Corporate, Portrait), and my contact details. This is the simplest I could envisage and still be happy with.

The next stages of the site are going to filter in over time. The main feature missing is image galleries. Most gallery programs make me sad as a consumer of many websites. In the interests of insanity, I am going to try and build my own.

I have a few simple requirements, such as fast loading, click the image to advance, show thumbnails, and not use music or Flash.
