A small beginning

This marks a small step in beginning a photo blog. In some ways, a manifesto of things to come.

My focus at the moment is people, travel, weddings and food. I am starting out with each of them and seeing what sticks.

People photography I started due to an interest in lighting. Most lighting books talk of portrait photography. I really enjoy making beautiful images of people, and this has held my interest.

Travel photography occurs due to extensive travel for work. My camera comes with me. Always.

Wedding photography was a bit of an accident. As someone with a camera, I started getting a few requests. The first wedding went very well, with more to come.

Food has long been a passion. I love cooking. I love eating beautiful food. In an attempt to gain entry to a Flickr group, I needed to have 50 food photos in my portfolio. This has lifted my game.
